Conveyance Technology is Broader Than You Think
What’s in Our Name?
I am often asked by people both in the supply chain industry and in my personal life, “What is Conveyco? Like conveyors: belts and rollers and stuff?”…And my answer is one that is, “Well. Sort of…The solutions we integrate almost always include conveyors but often include many more technologies to move or “convey” goods…How much time do you have?”

Conveyco is much, much more than simply conveyor. Instead we refer to the systems we integrate as solutions that utilize various “Conveyance” technologies. Together the system will handle the storage, retrieval, and the movement of a client’s inventory within the 4 walls of a facility. The breadth of solutions that we utilize to address these challenges has evolved over the last decade to include technologies that are vastly broader than just conveyor. But instead allowing us to objectively choose among all the available tools for the best fit solution which often comprises of the right blend of “hard and soft” technologies.

So What is the New Definition of “Conveyance”?
As mentioned earlier the definition of Conveyance has evolved along with the requirements by which our solutions have needed to structure the movement, storage, and management of inventory within the 4 walls of a facility. This is in response to ever increasing client and service level demands. We now consider the following technologies to be broader forms of Conveyance in a sense:
- Vertical and Horizontal Carousels
- Vertical Lift Modules
- Vertical Case Sequencing
- Unit-Load and Mini-Load Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS)
- Shuttle Goods To Person Systems
- Sortation Technology
