Exotec AMR-Based High-Density AS/RS

This high-density storage and AMR integrated system provides the space savings, flexibility and cost efficiency not found in traditional Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS). The 3-axis Skypod AMR moves on the floor through the high-density rack system. When it finds the vertical position for its SKU, it then rides vertically to the item. Then the Skypod AMR extracts the tote or case from the rack system and descends vertically to the floor. Once on the floor it moves to the correct order picking station and presents its contents for picking by an operator or robot. Once picked, the Skybot AMR is assigned its next item and it repeats the process. This Exotec Skypod system can be expanded, modified or moved quickly and easily to meet changing organization’s business requirements.
